New Aermotor Windmill Installation
In partnership with USDA NRCS, EQIP funds were leveraged to install a genuine Aermotor windmill at Dutch Petes Ranch for cattle water supply

About this Project
Dutch Petes is a remote cattle working ranch in Mono County. There is no electricity and no reliable water source near holding pens. A genuine Aermotor Windmill was decided to be both functional and scenic in this pristine setting.
- Erected 21 foot tower with a 12′ mill
- Capable of 50 gallons per minute peak flow in moderate wind
- Installed a 5000 gallon storage tank
- Installed an overflow pipe running to a spring area
- Installed eco-friendly recycled tire tanks for water troughs
- Freeze proof
- Wildlife escape ramps placed
